Arun Bhati, recognized among the top 100 technocrats in India, is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and a distinguished computer science graduate from NIT Bhopal. With a career spanning entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship, he has consistently focused on building innovative technology-driven solutions to solve large-scale problems. His journey includes founding Orahi—India’s first ridesharing platform—forming a joint venture with CONSAT for IoT services in Europe, acquiring Odd-Even.com, and enabling Delhi Government’s Odd-Even initiative. His work has been featured by over 400 media outlets, including the BBC, and Orahi has earned the “Super Startup” title by Superbrands.
Arun has a proven track record of pioneering firsts in India’s telecom and digital landscape, such as launching the country’s first MMSC with Vodafone, Mobile TV with Airtel, and Ring Back Tone with MTNL. He also played a key role in developing the first large-scale app store in India and contributed to innovations in mobile wallets and digital currency. His co-authored paper, Dial M for Money, presented at the World Mobile Congress in Atlanta, has been cited by over 900 scholars globally. Currently, he is focused on scaling Orahi and CONSAT ORAHI into leading players in the IoT domain, while fostering a team of passionate individuals committed to positive global impact.
